The lead character of this comic. He's sardonic, analytical and has a lucky streak a galaxy wide. Works as a movie reviewer and investigative journalist after Volume 1. Was the rising star of his undergraduate program in his younger days at university.
Put-upon truthsayer who was betrayed by Hunter in the past. Jack was also Hunter's best friend, colleague and roommate at the time, so the chip he's got on his shoulder is jumbo-sized. Works menial jobs in Druid City due to the poor job market.
Hunter's brother. Gay, but maybe not? It's complicated. Inexperienced and naive, but usually plays it safe. Which just adds to that inexperienced and naive problem. Currently a freshman at Druid City University.
Misa is a hedonistic English grad student who focused on a rather blase thesis topic, entirely to benefit her character arc. Japanese national who was raised in North America from a young age. Oh, and she and Hunter dated for like, four years. No big.
Z-movie maniac who might have big plans, but you would never know about it. Has a complicated backstory, but it would take a long time to get into and it's not that important. He really likes Pirahnaman.
Becky Fink is a student photographer. Hunter's gotten her into the photo-journalist side of things. The straight-woman to everyone's fall guy. Logical and empathetic. Acquaintance of everyone, friend to few.
Mike's boyfriend. A walking stereotype and bit of a male chauvinist. Probably not the best option for Mike but he has to get experienced from someone. That and people grow and change together, so give them a damn chance already.
Grad student from Austin, Texas. Has some connection to Hunter, one that clearly wasn't just on a friend-level sort of a thing. She studies Ethnography. Not much is known about her yet.
On and off again girlfriend of Jack Thorn. She studies dance. Also Regina Turner's sister. She used to hang with Hunter, Jack and Misa a lot when they were all undergraduates.
Hunter and Mike's father. Former construction worker. Currently a painter. Finally laying back and doing what he wants in life. Divorced from Lindsay Hastings, his ex-wife.
Hunter and Mike's mother. Used to be a stay-at-home mom while working on her education. Currently a judge.
Lazy dude. Doesn't ask for much. Doesn't get much.
