I’ve really come to hate panels with more than two speech bubbles, and have gone to great lengths to change up Druid City: Volume 1’s structure so it doesn’t happen anymore.  However, I felt like easing into the curve when remaking Chapter 1 and kept some of the bad design decisions in, mostly because most of the panels they’re in pay off in the ending sequence. The five speech bubbles here are bad because the character’s facial expressions only match their final speech bubble.  Granted, that’s how it should look, but having one expression per speech bubble is ideal.  I’ve seen so many first timers get this wrong, and after seeing it enough, stopped doing it in my better page layouts.
